Get your football brain in the game.
A practical guide to badges, countries, maps and scoring. Updated 9 October 2026.
Start with ten badges
The 10-badge sprint is a short way to try Ball Quiz. Look at the crest and choose the football club it represents. A sprint finishes after ten questions, or fewer when a selected collection has fewer eligible clubs. A wrong answer resets your streak, but it does not end the sprint.
After each answer, take a moment to read the feedback. You choose when to move to the next question. At the end, review the badges you missed: connecting a club's name to its crest is the useful part of a wrong guess. Play as a guest; an account is optional.
Keep going in classic survival
In classic badge mode, you start with three lives. Every incorrect answer costs one life. Correct answers add points and build a streak; the round ends when your lives run out. The hard challenge uses five answer choices and three lives. The expert challenge uses five choices and just one life.
Choose difficulty before starting your round. Easy offers three club choices, medium four, and hard five. Smaller collections may provide fewer distractors. Choose a region, country or league collection to concentrate on a part of football you know, then try an unfamiliar one to learn more.
How badge points and streaks work
A correct badge answer earns 10 base points on easy, 20 on medium, or 30 on hard. Consecutive correct answers add a streak bonus: none on your first answer, then 5 extra points on the second, 10 on the third, up to a maximum bonus of 25 per answer from the sixth correct answer onward.
For example, three consecutive correct answers on medium earn 20, 25 and 30 points: 75 in total. A wrong answer earns no points and resets the streak. Your score is recorded by the server; changing a value in your browser does not change the saved result. Sprint and survival results use separate score categories, so compare the same game format on the leaderboard.
Find the club's home country
The country game asks where a club is based. Choose its recorded home country, rather than the nationality of a player or the country of an opponent. You start with three lives. Each correct answer earns 20 base points plus the same streak bonus described above.
In the map challenge, select the country on the world map. Country buttons provide an alternative when a shape is too small, absent from the simplified map or difficult to select. You do not need to share your location. The map connects a football club to its home country; it does not ask for an exact stadium pin.
What the collections mean
Regional collections group clubs by their recorded home country. League collections use stored competition participation and can include clubs from past seasons. A club appearing in a collection does not prove it plays in that league today. Country labels and crest designs can also change.
Try comparing the visible features of a badge: lettering, colours, symbols and shape. Some crests include a place name or founding year; others rely on a local symbol. Avoid assuming that matching colours mean matching clubs. If a badge fails to load, use the game's recovery control rather than guessing from an empty image. For a suspected incorrect answer, send the club name and page to Contact & corrections.
Free games, clear boundaries
Ball Quiz has no entry fees, stakes or cash prizes. Match-probability pages are a separate reference feature; market prices never decide quiz answers or award quiz points. Read our content and data guidelines for sources and corrections, and the privacy policy for saved results and account choices.
